MsKalaichelvi V Ponnambalam

Kalaichelvi V. Ponnambalam is an esteemed educator in the TVET industry in Malaysia , a researcher, and advocate for TVET & women’s empowerment through education and entrepreneurship. She is pursuing her a PhD in UKM focused on empowering women via Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) , her research explores the economic, social, and psychological factors that influence women empowerment in Malaysia . She is also the Founder of PERSATUAN PEMBANGUNAN USAHAWAN WANITA since 2010. She was recently endorsed as TOKOH WANITA TVET by the Ministry of Women Development, Family and Community for their PERANTIS initiative in 2024. Based in Malaysia, she is a passionate voice in advancing inclusive education and skills development, particularly for underserved communities. Kalaichelvi has coached aspiring women entrepreneurs, developed empowerment programs, and contributed to regional conversations on Construction of Vocational Education Quality Assurance Systems’ in the World Vocational & Technical Education Development Conference held in Tian Jin, China in November 2024 by the Ministry of Education, China . Her work bridges academic research with real-world impact, making her a compelling and credible speaker on women’s economic advancement. As a changemaker in the education and development space, she will bring deep insight, cultural nuance, and strategic foresight to the ASEAN Women Economic Forum 2025.
