Dr Mona Kassim

Dr Mona Kassim is the G100 Brunei Country Chair for Startup Ecosystems. She is a purpose-driven social-impact entrepreneur, certified talent expert, and trainer with 25 years’ experience in education, leadership, and innovation. She holds a doctorate from Loughborough University (UK) in Strategic Management. She served as Senior Associate Professor in the Business Faculties in Universiti Brunei Darussalam and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali. She was the Deputy Director of the Institute of Leadership and Innovation (ILIA, UBD). She founded and co-founded several educational social impact startups including an Islamic enrichment centre and a welding school. She is a keen social innovator and design thinking advocate. She was Brunei’s ASEAN Business Professor under Japan’s Consultant Based Learning for ASEAN SMEs (COBLAS) program implemented under the ASEAN SME Blueprint and served as a Schouten Global Faculty member (Netherlands). Currently she chairs and co-founded ‘The Sisters Who Launch’, which elevates female development and spearheads female startup acceleration. She also serves as the Regional Ambassador for the GMW Network (UAE), a professional platform to for faith centered startup and professional networking.
