Germany, Public Speaker podcaster, G100 India Chair SDGs, Senior Consultant UN Women Expertise in POSH Training and Advocacy: Dr. Lipika Sharma is an acclaimed Indian advocate & practices Law at the Supreme Court of India and a globally recognized expert in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) in the workplace. She has trained more than 30,000 trainees in India & globally, including members of redressal mechanisms (Internal Committee), and conducted more than 300 workshops focused on compliance with laws & gender sensitization. She has consolidated knowledge of gender inclusion, equity, and justice. She is a leadership, life, DEI & Soft skills coach as well. Her POSH training methodology is comprehensive, integrating real-life case studies, videos, and relevant court judgments to ensure trainees understand the complexities of POSH laws and the importance of compliance. As a life member and trainer of the ISTD, the oldest training institute in India, Dr Sharma trains the trainers as well & sessions are known for their impactful delivery, contributing to the development of highly competent trainers in the field. She also played a pioneering role in introducing a 2-credit POSH course at various schools and Universities, as she is committed to education and gender sensitization. As the Founder & CEO of VidAikyam Foundation, which is dedicated to advancing gender justice, women’s empowerment, disaster relief, and climate change initiatives. Through her NGO, she has worked on grassroots projects aimed at raising awareness of sexual harassment laws, especially among young adults, to instil a deep understanding of rights, obligations, and the long-term impact of non-compliance. Her work at grassroots for women's and girl’s empowerment & training programs have equipped organizations across various sectors, from the grassroots to the corporates, with the necessary tools to foster respectful, harassment-free environments. She is the Chief Legal Officer for German NGO Eljojo.V.fe. working in East Africa. Her PhD research on the intersection of traditional knowledge and climate change highlights her commitment to addressing the global environmental crisis through gender-sensitive approaches.
